Key Functions

  • Programme Delivery & Operational Support
    Support programme delivery and day-to-day operations by ensuring divisions and programmes receive the resources they need on time, including support for youth initiatives, sporting events and infrastructure projects.
  • Transparency, Accountability & Value for Money
    Promote transparency, accountability and value for money by conducting all procurement activities in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act, 2015 (as amended), its Regulations and the Rules and Guidelines issued by the Office of Procurement Regulation (OPR).
  • Strategic Planning & Budget Control
    Align procurement activities with approved budgets and work plans, in collaboration with programme units, the Accounts Unit and the Planning Unit, so that expenditure supports our strategic priorities.
  • Supplier Engagement & Capacity Building
    Encourage the participation of local suppliers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and community-based contractors, thereby supporting inclusive economic development.
  • Collaboration & Institutional Alignment
    Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement decisions are consistent with our strategic objectives for sport and youth development.
